Job summary

Atos is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex programmes within diverse client environments. You will manage definition, planning, governance, execution, and successful completion of projects with significant business impact and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities cover mobilisation, go-live readiness, budgeting, risk and change management, and ensuring robust controls.

• Manage risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies while implementing appropriate mitigation actions.
• Ensure successful handover and acceptance of project deliverables, including service acceptance activities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
• Communicate complex information effectively to a range of audiences, including senior stakeholders and project teams.

About The Role

• We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of complex projects, ensuring agreed business outcomes are achieved within defined scope, budget, timescales, and quality standards.
• You will take full responsibility for the definition, planning, governance, execution, and successful completion of projects that may have significant business impact, high-profile stakeholder engagement, and complex dependencies. The role requires a proven ability to apply both traditional and Agile delivery approaches while maintaining robust project controls, governance, risk management, change management, and financial oversight.
• You will manage project teams, customers, suppliers, and stakeholders, ensuring effective delivery while supporting Atos' commercial objectives and maintaining strong customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership

• Lead and deliver large, multi-disciplinary project teams or small transition programmes across multiple locations and supplier organisations.
• Own and manage Project, Programme or Transition Plans, including mobilisation, knowledge transfer, exit, and go-live readiness, ensuring all activities support an operationally safe service transfer.

Project Organisation & Governance

• Plan, manage, and control projects with internal and external dependencies.
• Manage project scope, schedules, milestones, deliverables, and baseline plans.
• Monitor budgets, costs, revenue, margins, and project financial performance.
• Manage risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies while implementing appropriate mitigation actions.
• Ensure successful handover and acceptance of project deliverables, including service acceptance activities.

Delivery Management

• Confirm project requirements and scope with stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with agreed delivery methodologies, standards, and governance controls.
• Maintain effective configuration and change management throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance project effectiveness and customer outcomes.

Stakeholder & Relationship Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and proactively seek customer feedback.
• Facilitate discussions, negotiate outcomes, and resolve conflicts where required.
• Communicate complex information effectively to a range of audiences, including senior stakeholders and project teams.
• Lead presentations, reviews, and governance forums with confidence and credibility.

Commercial & Financial Management

• Manage project budgets, forecasts, financial performance, and profitability.
• Identify and address delivery, commercial, contractual, and operational risks.
• Manage end-to-end change control processes, including impact assessments covering cost, margin, schedule, quality, risk, and resource implications.
• Work closely with Account Managers to maintain strong customer relationships while supporting Atos' commercial interests.
• Support the delivery of projects involving diverse technologies, suppliers, and commercial arrangements.

Skills We Can't Do Without

• Proven experience delivering large projects or small programmes / portfolios with values typically ranging between £4M and £8M with teams of up to 50 people
• Strong project planning, governance, risk management, issue management, and change control experience.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary teams, suppliers, and stakeholders across multiple locations.
• Strong commercial and financial management capability.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and leadership skills.

Skills We'd Like

• Experience delivering technology transformation or migration projects.
• Experience delivering transition programmes, involving multiple suppliers or complex environments.
• Experience and professional certification in Traditional or Agile project delivery methodologies.

Additional Requirements

• Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain SC Clearance.
• Must be fully mobile in terms of assignment location.
• Travel and on-site attendance may be required depending on project and customer requirements.
