Job Description

This is an outstanding opportunity for a Senior Project Manager with a stable working history, covering high-level, bespoke projects in the construction/conservation/buildings industry, ideally with knowledge of stonemasonry, to hold this key role within a prestigious business that specializes in Architectural, Heritage, and Interiors.

The Role

Responsible for delivering a portfolio of up to 10 projects simultaneously, ranging from £50k to £2.5m. You will ensure careful planning, resourcing, and communication between clients and teams involved in Design, Project Management, QS, H&S, Logistics, Finance, HR, and Operations. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Programme planning - short, medium, and long-term.
  2. Commercial understanding and control.
  3. Change Control.
  4. Communication & relationship management.
  5. Project Risk Management.
  6. Resource management, both in-house and external.
  7. Procurement.

Experience

  • Knowledge of Stonemasonry projects & processes, including Stone Heritage and Interior Stone.
  • Solid experience in Construction Sites & Logistics processes.
  • Proven track record of delivering large and complex projects successfully.

Skills

  • Ability to plan long-term risks and opportunities.
  • Proactive planning approach.
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with a polished external demeanor and hands-on internal team engagement.
  • Experience managing teams of 5-10+ people.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets, planning software, sketching tools, etc.
  • Ability to see both the big picture and details.
  • Highly organized.
  • Understanding of process adherence, filing, and paperwork management.

Qualifications & Knowledge

  • Project management qualifications such as CIOB, Prince2, etc.
  • Higher education in a relevant field is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of H&S regulations on site.
