Are you a Project Manager ready to step into a senior role?

Do you want to deliver high-profile rail projects with real impact?

Salary: Up to £65,000 + car allowance
Location: Cardiff (3 days per week in office, remainder remote/flexible)

I m looking for a Senior Project Manager to deliver complex rail infrastructure projects from early-stage development through to delivery and handover. You ll be responsible for managing budgets, risks, and stakeholders while ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standards of safety and quality. This role is suited to an experienced project manager ready to take the next step in their career.

Requirements:

  • Degree or professional qualification in engineering, project management, or construction (APM/Prince2 desirable).
  • Strong track record delivering projects within the rail or wider infrastructure sector.
  • Good commercial and contractual knowledge (NEC in particular).
  • Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety requirements, including CDM regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and drive delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead individual rail infrastructure projects across the full lifecycle, from design through to delivery.
  • Develop and manage project plans, budgets, and schedules.
  • Engage effectively with contractors, consultants, and client stakeholders.
  • Oversee compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Manage risks and dependencies, ensuring clear reporting and resolution of issues.
  • Support programme and project reporting, providing accurate progress updates to senior leadership.
  • Mentor and support junior project managers and project staff.
