ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager / Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team. This dual role is ideal for a highly skilled professional who has demonstrable experience in both project management and quantity surveying — or for those who specialise in one discipline but are open to expanding their remit.

You will play a key role in delivering a variety of projects from inception through to completion, working with a diverse range of clients in sectors including commercial, residential, education, and healthcare. The successful candidate will be client-facing, confident managing project teams, and capable of leading cost management and/or project delivery services depending on their core strengths.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage construction projects across all stages of the lifecycle
  • Provide cost planning, estimating, procurement advice, contract administration and final account settlement
  • Act as Employer’s Agent and/or Project Manager under various forms of contract
  • Prepare tender documentation and manage the tender process
  • Monitor project progress, budgets, and timelines, ensuring successful delivery
  • Work closely with clients, contractors, consultants, and internal teams to ensure expectations are met or exceeded
  • Identify and manage risk throughout project delivery

REQUIREMENTS

  • Professionally qualified (e.g. MRICS, MCIOB, MAPM) or working towards chartered status
  • Proven experience in a consultancy environment as either a Project Manager, Quantity Surveyor, or in a combined role
  • Strong knowledge of UK construction contracts (particularly JCT and NEC)
  • Excellent client-facing and communication skills
  • Strong organisational and leadership capabilities
  • Comfortable working independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team

REWARDS AND BENEFITS

  • Salary is negotiable depending on the individual and their experience
  • Opportunity to work on a wide variety of high-profile projects
  • Supportive and collaborative team culture
  • Career development and chartership support
  • Competitive salary and benefits package
  • Flexible/hybrid working options available
