Become part of an expanding team of Project Managers, focusing on your career growth, delivering diverse projects for a wide range of global clients in sectors such as infrastructure, natural environment, water, flood defence, and earth and environment. With over 10,000 colleagues in the UK, our projects include highways, rail, urban infrastructure, energy, flood, water, wind energy, nuclear, defence, and large-scale utilities.

Your Team

You will be part of our Project Management and Commercial Management Team (PMCM), consisting of over 400 professionals across the UK, within our Civil Infrastructure and Utilities Group. Your development will be supported through WSP’s training, development tools, and resources.

You will work within our flexible working culture, balancing home and office work, prioritizing safety and wellbeing.

A typical Day would include

• Ensuring compliance with quality management systems and driving efficiencies during project execution.
• Providing leadership and guidance in a multi-disciplinary environment.
• Supporting work-winning activities and marketing WSP services.
• Organising and chairing client meetings.
• Planning, monitoring, and controlling projects with values from £1m to £100m with limited guidance.
• Managing project change and delivering within commercial arrangements.
• Contract management and administration under various contracts.
• Line management responsibilities for Assistant, Graduate, and Undergraduate PMs.
• Delivering projects within financial metrics and making decisions on complex issues.

What we are looking for

• Professional qualification in project management, quantity surveying, or engineering.
• Degree in STEM or similar disciplines.
• NEC accreditation and practical skills in NEC Contracts.
• Membership of professional institutions like APM, PMI, RICS, or MICE.
• Experience in water, linear infrastructure, or environmental projects is beneficial but not essential.
• Competence in stakeholder management, risk, planning/scheduling, and commercial management.
• Proficiency in project management software.
• Evidence of professional development in project management or related fields.
