About the role

Balfour Beatty has a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Project Manager OHL to join their rapidly expanding Power Transmission and Distribution team working on projects across the UK. The successful individual will have experience working on overhead line projects.

With the Power business in a key stage of growth, there is plenty of scope for development in this role, and it would suit someone with ambition and drive to grow with the business.

What you'll be doing

To make a real impact as a Senior Project Manager with us, you'll need:

• Project delivery experience to ensure high quality and safety standards
• Experience in Power/Utilities within large infrastructure projects
• Strong communication skills to manage, mentor, and empower your team
• The confidence and credibility to liaise with business leaders
• Commercial acumen to control costs and keep projects within budget
• Understanding of standard forms of contracts and performance evaluation techniques

Who we're looking for

You will have the following:

• Experience managing and delivering Overhead Line, Cabling, or Substation schemes up to 400kV (preferable)
• Strong People Management skills
• Proven track record in tendering and managing complex projects, including sub-contractors
• Commercial awareness with knowledge of both budgetary and financial control
