Job Description

UL Solutions Renewables is seeking a candidate to work within the Offshore Wind Advisory Project Management team. The selected candidate will support UL's offshore wind team in providing the following services to clients:

  • Advisory services including but not limited to lenders due diligence, buy and sell-side due diligence, owners engineering, and market studies.
  • This will include the management of complex technical due diligence and market intelligence assignments for high-profile clients covering the full project lifecycle from pre-feasibility to construction and operational monitoring.
Responsibilities

  • Work with customers acting as the main client interface for UL Solutions. Lead client meetings with lenders, investors, developers, and insurance advisors as needed.
  • Project manage complex owners engineering, independent engineering, technical advisory, and market intelligence services supporting offshore plant development, construction, financing, sale, or acquisition.
  • Oversee key activities such as:
    • Technology review
    • Civil and electrical design review
    • Commercial and technical contracts review
    • Project schedule management
    • Business case assessment including Devex, Capex, Opex, and Abex
    • Environmental and permitting review
    • Site visits, construction, and operational monitoring
  • Compile and complete independent engineering and technical advisory reports, and prepare communication and project status reports.
  • Prepare proposals with scope of work, team, budget, and schedule to meet client expectations.
  • Manage internal and external resources to ensure timely, targeted, and budget-compliant project deliverables.
  • Facilitate and lead regular project status meetings with teams and stakeholders.
  • Identify project risks, barriers, and issues, and propose solutions and mitigation strategies.
  • Apply industry best practices and lessons learned from previous projects.
  • Proactively identify project needs and implement suitable solutions.
  • Support business growth in offshore wind through development activities.
  • Assist in business development, including identifying potential clients.
  • Represent UL at conferences and seminars to promote the company and generate leads.
Qualifications

  • Degree in Project Management, Electrical, Civil, Mechanical Engineering, Energy Services, or Planning and Consents.
  • Minimum of 5+ years' experience as a project manager/engineer in the wind industry.
  • Deep understanding of technical due diligence and risk assessment processes.
  • Experience across the full project lifecycle from pre-feasibility to operation.
  • Motivated, with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Leadership interest in business development is a plus.
  • Workplace: UK or Northern Europe, with remote flexibility.
  • Comfortable working with global teams across time zones.
  • Proficiency in English, French, or Spanish; additional languages are advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% within the EMEA region.
