Brand new job opportunity now available! Octagon Group is recruiting for a Senior Project Manager for a global manufacturing company. This position is full-time permanent and is based in Shrewsbury, Shropshire.

This role will suit an experienced Project Manager who wants to lead critical projects in product development, driving business growth and success in a rapidly evolving industry.

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing major projects throughout their entire lifecycle, from conception to delivery. You will lead cross-functional teams, collaborating closely with departments such as R&D, manufacturing, marketing, and sales to ensure the successful execution of projects.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of product development projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and timelines.
2. Manage cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and communication to drive project success.
3. Utilise your experience in cradle-to-grave project management to navigate all phases of the New Product Development (NPD) process effectively.
4. Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, and resource allocations to ensure project milestones are met within scope and on time.

Qualifications and Skills/Experience Required:

1. Educated to degree level, ideally in Business, STEM or related field.
2. Project management qualification.
3. Proven experience in managing NPI projects, with a deep understanding of NPD phases and methodologies.
4. Demonstrated expertise in cradle-to-grave project management approaches.
5. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage cross-functional teams.
6. Experience working in a manufacturing environment is desirable.
