Job summary

Fusion People Ltd is hiring a Senior Project Manager to lead national IT and infrastructure programmes from start to finish. You will mentor junior PMs, shape PMO best practices, and oversee multi-site deployments nationwide for top UK brands.

The role reports to the Director of Project Services and emphasizes strong governance, risk management and client liaison to deliver complex projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• PRINCE2 or PMP certification.
• Proven experience managing large IT/infrastructure projects across multiple sites.
• Experience with retail technology deployments and structured cabling.
• Strong knowledge of PRINCE2 and Agile methodologies.
• Experience in budgeting, risks and multi-project coordination.
• Proficient with MS Project, Excel and PM tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead national IT and data infrastructure programmes across sites.
• Apply governance frameworks such as PRINCE2, Agile and ITIL.
• Build and maintain detailed plans, trackers and dashboards.
• Manage risks, dependencies, budgets and mitigation plans.
• Act as primary client, supplier and internal team contact.
• Direct field engineers, subcontractors and logistics for deployments.
• Mentor junior Project Managers and drive PMO improvements.
• Ensure health, safety compliance and audit trails.

Cardiff 50,000 basic + 5,616 car allowance Permanent

An exciting senior opportunity with a long-established UK IT support provider trusted by some of the biggest names in retail and hospitality. The business is investing in its leadership and its PMO, and is looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead complex, multi-site IT and infrastructure programmes nationwide.

Reporting to the Director of Project Services, you'll own delivery from start to finish, lead and mentor junior Project Managers, and help shape best practice across the PMO.

The role

• Leading national IT and data infrastructure projects, including structured cabling (Cat6/Cat6A) and technology rollouts
• Applying governance frameworks such as PRINCE2, Agile and ITIL
• Building and maintaining detailed plans, trackers and reporting dashboards
• Managing risks, dependencies, budgets and mitigation plans across multiple concurrent projects
• Acting as the primary point of contact for clients, suppliers and internal teams
• Managing field engineers, subcontractors and logistics for multi-site deployments
• Mentoring junior Project Managers and driving continuous improvement in the PMO
• Ensuring health and safety compliance, quality standards and full audit trails

What you'll need
