Job summary

Fusion People seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead national IT and infrastructure programmes from Cardiff. You will own end-to-end delivery, coordinate multi-site deployments and mentor junior PMs within a growing PMO.

Reporting to the Director of Project Services, you will apply PRINCE2, Agile and ITIL frameworks, manage budgets and risks, build detailed plans, and act as the primary client contact across suppliers and internal teams to ensure quality, safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing large-scale IT or infrastructure projects across multiple sites.
• Experience of retail technology deployments and structured cabling solutions.
• Strong knowledge of PRINCE2 and Agile methodologies.
• Confidence managing budgets, risks and multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with MS Project, Excel and other project management tools.
• Excellent stakeholder management, leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Leading national IT and data infrastructure projects, including structured cabling (Cat6/Cat6A) and technology rollouts.
• Applying governance frameworks such as PRINCE2, Agile and ITIL.
• Building and maintaining detailed plans, trackers and reporting dashboards.
• Managing risks, dependencies, budgets and mitigation plans across multiple concurrent projects.
• Acting as the primary point of contact for clients, suppliers and internal teams.
• Managing field engineers, subcontractors and logistics for multi-site deployments.
• Mentoring junior Project Managers and driving continuous improvement in the PMO.
• Ensuring health and safety compliance, quality standards and full audit trails.

An exciting senior opportunity with a long-established UK IT support provider trusted by some of the biggest names in retail and hospitality. The business is investing in its leadership and its PMO, and is looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead complex, multi-site IT and infrastructure programmes nationwide.

Reporting to the Director of Project Services, you’ll own delivery from start to finish, lead and mentor junior Project Managers, and help shape best practice across the PMO.
