Job Opportunity: Senior Project Manager (MEP)

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager (MEP) to join Kier Mechanical & Electrical and lead a project at HMP Elmley in Kent.

This project operates within the custodial sector, and involves close collaboration with the Kier Construction team to oversee MEP delivery.

Isle of Sheppey, Kent

Contract

Full-time, Permanent. Please inquire about flexible options.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Project Manager (MEP), you will be part of Kier Group's M&E business, which is our self-delivery team working closely with Kier Construction. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing project delivery from initial bid to completion.
  • Achieving company objectives post-contract.
  • Contributing to pre-contract activities with a focus on customer care and business excellence.

Additional responsibilities involve:

  • Identifying and managing project risks with effective mitigation strategies.
  • Managing procurement and delivery of subcontractor and supplier packages.
  • Ensuring compliance with quality management procedures across the supply chain.
  • Overseeing the MEP delivery team, including QA, design, procurement, commercial, installation, commissioning, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Implementing and adhering to Kier's SHE policies, procedures, legal requirements, and best practices.
Candidate Requirements
  • Experience managing construction projects over £10m MEP value.
  • Strong knowledge and technical understanding of MEP systems.
  • Commercial and contractual awareness.
  • Leadership skills to drive project progress.
