Job summary

Jobtailor in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead delivery across multi‑discipline teams, including consultants, analysts, developers and testers. You’ll own end‑to‑end delivery for complex initiatives, ensuring governance and stakeholder alignment from initiation to post‑implementation support.

Projects increasingly exceed £3m or involve multiple smaller deliveries. You will write a PID, run kick‑off meetings, maintain MSP plans and work within PMO

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of extensive delivery experience with a strong track record managing complex projects and multi-workstream projects end-to-end.
• Proven leadership of software implementations from initiation through go-live and post‑implementation support.
• Strong planning and governance capability, including RAID management, dependency control, and structured delivery frameworks.
• Excellent stakeholder management with the ability to engage, influence and present at senior/executive level.
• Commercial and financial awareness, including budget management, forecasting, and control of scope and change.
• Team leadership experience, leading cross-functional teams and driving accountability, performance and delivery momentum.

Responsibilities

• Managing a team (size varies with project size, and as a senior PM you’ll get the bigger more complex ones or multiple deliveries to manage at the same time) of implementation consultants, business analysts, developers, testers and release managers
• Working closely with our clients to agree delivery requirements, milestones, governance, and agreed ways of working
• Working on projects worth upwards of £3m or multiple smaller deliveries
• Writing a Project Initiation Document (PID) and running project kick off meetings
• Developing and maintaining a project plan in MSP
• Operating within PMO standards and Procentia Ways of Working, adhering to internal governance and mainting those standards throughout delivery
