Job summary

Vertical Recruitment Limited is seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee high-value construction and property development schemes across sectors, from retail to healthcare. You will lead design through to handover, manage budgets and schedules, and act as the main client contact while ensuring HSE and contractual compliance.

The role demands 7+ years of delivery experience, strong leadership and stakeholder management, and a degree in a related field.

Qualifications

• 7+ years' experience managing construction or property development projects.
• Proven track record delivering projects in retail, hospitality, residential and industrial sectors.
• Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field.
• Strong commercial awareness with budgets, contracts and stakeholder management.
• MRICS or PMP accreditation is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from design and planning through construction and handover.
• Manage budgets, schedules, and project resources effectively.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with HSE, quality standards, and contractual requirements.
• Oversee risk management, change control, and issue resolution.
• Mentor and support project teams, sharing best practice and ensuring high performance.
• Deliver clear project reporting to senior management and clients.
• Foster strong working relationships to enhance client satisfaction and future business opportunities.
