Job summary

Bennett & Game Recruitment is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead major civil engineering schemes across Kent, East Sussex and the South East. You will manage multidisciplinary teams, coordinate with clients and subcontractors, and drive programmes, costs and safety across assignments.

Ideal candidates have a background with a Tier 1 contractor, delivering highways and structures, and hold NEC contract knowledge.

Qualifications

• Experience as Project Manager with Tier 1 civil contractor.
• Proven track record delivering heavy civil projects (highways/structures).
• Experience managing NEC contracts and project programmes.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for the delivery of major civil engineering projects.
• Manage site teams, engineers, operatives and subcontractors.
• Ensure works are delivered on programme, within budget and to the required quality standards.
• Prepare and implement project management plans, method statements and risk assessments.
• Develop, monitor and regularly update project programmes.
• Coordinate with the commercial team to manage project cost, risk and contractual change.
• Lead project meetings and provide reporting on programme, cost, risk and delivery.
• Mentor and develop junior project and site management staff.
