Job Description

We offer an exciting opportunity to engage in the strategic planning and business management of the largest digital transformation program within the Environment & Business directorate. The Regulatory Services Programme is responsible for delivering digital services that will transform environmental regulation.
You will lead within the Programme Management Office (PMO), providing valuable input into the financial and business management of the programme to support risk mitigation, issue resolution, and barrier removal, ensuring alignment with the business case and value for money.
We seek a candidate with a strong track record in managing complex financial information, collaborating to drive value for money, and influencing ongoing investment.

The Team
The Digital, Innovation and Programmes team oversees the Digital Strategy and its implementation across E&B. Our work sets the strategic direction for delivering digital services that transform environmental regulation.
You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including Defra shared services and third-party suppliers, to shape user-centered online services and digital platforms that are efficient, simple, and fast.

You will have an incident management objective in your development plan, with support and training provided. The role is flexible regarding location, with some travel and overnight stays possible.
