A leading airport operator is seeking a project manager to support the delivery of Capital Delivery Projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in the transport sector, strong leadership skills, and proficiency in MS Word and Excel. This role involves managing over 20 contractors and ensuring minimal disruption to operations. A university degree and relevant project management qualifications are highly desirable. The purpose of this role is to support the safe and successful delivery of Capital Delivery Projects across the airport portfolio. You will work with the Capital Delivery and Asset Management Teams, supporting project delivery within agreed budgets and timescales.
Our Capital Delivery projects include all three airports and categories such as Terminals, Airfield, and Infrastructure. We forecast capital investment for FY21 to be approximately £130m, and this role will be responsible for delivering the annual CAPEX spend, managing over 20 contractors, and overseeing over £2 million in expenditure.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the transport sector (Aviation, Rail, Highways) delivering complex construction projects. A University Degree and Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status is highly desirable, but relevant project management qualifications such as APMQ or Prince2 are also acceptable.
We seek someone with strong leadership skills, capable of delivering through others, influencing without direct control, and managing project development from exploration to handover. Demonstrable success and commercial acumen are essential. Proficiency in MS Word and Excel is required.
