Job Description

We're hiring a Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of major defence and marine engineering programmes for a key UK client. This role sits within a highly technical environment where you'll oversee multidisciplinary engineering teams, drive delivery across complex lifecycles, and ensure compliance with industry and client expectations.

You'll be responsible for project ownership from bid to closeout, ensuring quality, cost, and schedule adherence, while working closely with engineers, stakeholders, and delivery partners across the UK defence space.

What you'll be doing

• Managing end-to-end delivery of engineering projects involving electronics and mechanical systems
• Leading planning, risk management, reporting, and stakeholder communication
• Driving performance across internal engineering teams and external partners
• Interfacing with senior stakeholders across marine and defence environments
• Ensuring compliance with internal processes and client delivery standards
• Supporting proposals, bids, and programme reviews as needed

Qualifications

What we're looking for

• 10+ years' project management experience in engineering environments
• Background in defence or marine - ideally with BAE, Babcock, or similar
• Familiarity with engineering design tools such as Altium Designer, LTspice, SolidWorks, ANSYS, or Inventor
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills in complex technical settings
• Understanding of secure or regulated delivery frameworks
• Must be eligible for SC clearance - UKEO SC or prior defence clearance ideal
