Salary: £333.36 per day

Hours: Full-time (37 hours per week)

Role Overview

Nottingham City Council is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead and deliver transformational projects within the Children’s Services Transformation Programme. This programme spans Social Care, Family Help, SEND, and Education, focusing on improving outcomes for children and people while ensuring financial sustainability and value for money.

  • Commissioning Families First
  • SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities)
  • Education Workforce Development
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the delivery of service improvement projects and workstreams.
  • Ensure all projects meet objectives, deliverables, outcomes, and benefits.
  • Drive efficiencies, cost control, and identify potential savings.
  • Develop data- and evidence-based business cases.
  • Produce key project documentation, including initiation documents and monthly highlight reports.
  • Embed a culture of continuous improvement within Children’s Services.
Key Accountabilities
  • Report to the Change Delivery Lead.
  • Deliver non-IT projects focused on service transformation.
  • Collaborate effectively with stakeholders to achieve positive, lasting change.
  • Ensure alignment with the strategic goals of the Transformation Programme.

  • Strong background in change management and continuous improvement practices.
  • Ability to develop and present robust business cases based on data and evidence.
  • Experience managing large, complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
