Role OverviewNottingham City Council is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead and deliver transformational projects within the Children’s Services Transformation Programme. This programme spans Social Care, Family Help, SEND, and Education, and is focused on improving outcomes for children and young people while ensuring financial sustainability and value for money.

Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage the delivery of service improvement projects and workstreams.
- Ensure all projects meet agreed objectives, deliverables, outcomes, and benefits.
- Drive sustainable efficiencies, cost control, and potential savings.
- Develop data- and evidence-based business cases.
- Produce key project documentation, including initiation documents and monthly highlight reports.
- Embed a culture of continuous improvement within Children’s Services.
Key Accountabilities- Report to the Change Delivery Lead.
- Deliver projects that are non-IT in nature, with a focus on service transformation.
- Collaborate effectively with stakeholders to achieve positive, lasting change.
- Ensure alignment with the strategic goals of the Transformation Programme.
What They're Looking For- Demonstrable experience delivering transformational projects in Children’s Services.
- Strong background in change management and embedding continuous improvement practices.
- Ability to develop and present robust business cases based on data and evidence.
- Experience managing large, complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver to tight deadlines.
