Are you an experienced project manager with a strong background in hazardous materials storage and large-scale technical projects? Do you thrive in an international environment and enjoy leading multidisciplinary teams? If so, we invite you to join our team as a Senior Project Manager Chemicals (m/f/d) at DP World Germany.

About the Role

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing large-scale new construction projects and multi-million technical projects within hazardous materials storage. You will lead project teams, develop supply chain solutions, and work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead new construction projects and large project teams.
2. Develop concepts for formal customer proposals, including plant layouts, in collaboration with our engineering team.
3. Manage the development of supply chain solutions as part of large RFQ processes.
4. Work closely with Business Development, Account Management, and Operations teams to develop project solutions.
5. Present technical solutions to customers through proposals, calls, and presentations.
6. Oversee the implementation of technical elements for new business launches and infrastructure projects.
7. Manage major technical projects for upgrading or refurbishing facility components.
8. Develop solutions for technical system deficiencies (e.g., fire protection, ventilation, gas detection systems).
9. Collaborate with local authorities to ensure compliance and approvals.

Qualifications & Experience

1. Degree in Engineering, Technical Logistics, Facility Management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
2. Several years of experience managing large-scale projects in an international corporation.
3. Strong knowledge of logistics processes and hazardous materials storage regulations (TRGS).
4. Expertise in building systems such as fire alarm systems, ventilation, and gas detection is a plus.
5. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
7. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Visio, and project management software.
8. Willingness to travel for project-related activities.
9. Fluency in German and English is required.
