Job summary

Phoenix Software, a leading UK IT solutions provider, is hiring a Senior Project Manager to oversee complex local government technology programmes. You will manage end-to-end delivery of business systems, coordinate with suppliers and stakeholders, and drive change within a large transformation programme.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of key business system projects and enhancements (DMS, GIS, Revenues & Benefits, HR & Payroll, Digital Platform/CRM).
• Manage projects across full lifecycle from scoping to benefits realisation.
• Collaborate with service areas, suppliers and stakeholders to translate needs into technology solutions.
• Develop and maintain project plans, manage resources, budgets, risks and dependencies.
• Support procurement, implementation, integration and upgrades in line with requirements.
• Lead business change and process improvements for smooth transitions.
• Monitor progress, resolve issues and manage risks to meet deadlines and budgets.
• Promote best practices, innovation and continuous improvement across projects.
• Prepare and present documentation and updates to governance boards.

What will you be doing?

• Lead the delivery of key business system projects and enhancements, including Development Management Systems (DMS), GIS, Revenues & Benefits, HR & Payroll, and Digital Platform/CRM solutions.

• Manage projects throughout the full lifecycle, frominitialscoping and business case development through to implementation and benefits realisation.

• Work closely with service areas,suppliersand stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver effective technology solutions.

• Develop andmaintainproject plans, managing resources, budgets,risksand dependencies to ensure successful delivery.

• Support system procurement, implementation,integrationand upgrade activities in line with organisational requirements.

What are we looking for?

APRINCE2-certified ICT Project Manager with extensive experience delivering complex technology and infrastructure projects, leading stakeholders and teams, managing budgets,risksand procurement activities, and driving successful business change within large, complex organisations.
