Job summary

Bimplus invites an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a major Building Management Systems (BMS), ELV and MEP package on a flagship City of London development. You will steer pre-construction through handover, directing planners, engineers and subcontractors to deliver on time, on budget and to the highest standards.

You will own programme delivery, manage risk, ensure CDM and safety compliance, and maintain strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering major Building Management Systems (BMS), ELV or MEP projects in London.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary project teams across BMS, ELV and MEP.
• Strong commercial control across project lifecycle and procurement.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary project teams across BMS, ELV and MEP disciplines.
• Manage the overall project programme using MS Project or Asta Powerproject.
• Coordinate planners, quantity surveyors, engineers, software specialists and subcontractors.
• Drive programme performance through regular progress and look-ahead meetings.
• Manage budgets, forecasts, valuations, variations and commercial performance.
• Review subcontractor packages and negotiate change where required.
• Issue contractual notices including Early Warning and Delay Notices.
• Lead project risk reviews and implement mitigation strategies.
• Maintain quality assurance, CDM compliance and high health & safety standards.
• Oversee installation, integrated systems testing and commissioning activities.
• Manage Building Management Systems (BMS), Energy Management Systems (EMS), security and smart building integration.
• Coordinate client demonstrations, operator training and production of O&M manuals.
• Ensure a smooth project handover and contractual close-out.
• Build strong relationships with clients, consultants and internal delivery teams.
• Deliver projects safely, on programme, within budget and to highest quality standards.

About the Role

The Senior Project Manager – Building Management Systems (BMS) | MEP will lead the successful delivery of a major Building Management Systems (BMS), Extra Low Voltage (ELV) and MEP package, incorporating Building Management Systems, Energy Management Systems, Security Systems, Communications & Network Systems, Smart Building Technologies and Master Systems Integration.

You will manage the project through every stage including pre-construction, procurement, installation, commissioning and final handover while leading planners, quantity surveyors, project engineers, software engineers, commissioning teams and specialist subcontractors.

Key responsibilities include:

To be successful, you should have proven experience delivering major Building Management Systems (BMS), ELV or MEP projects within London. You will be an experienced leader capable of managing multidisciplinary teams while maintaining strong commercial control throughout the project lifecycle. Experience within Intelligent Buildings, Smart Buildings, Building Automation, Master Systems Integration (MSI), BIM environments or digitally enabled commercial developments would be highly advantageous.
