Senior Project Manager – SDLC

Please note, the role is hybrid, with 3 days on-site each week. Our client has sites across the North West of England.

Our client is urgently seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager with expertise in SDLC/Software Development Projects to join their team on a permanent basis.

ERP experience, ideally with SAP and S4 HANA, is highly desirable.

You will be responsible for planning, executing, and successfully delivering or leading company projects. Your role will include project leadership, resource planning, and governance to ensure projects meet deadlines and stay within budget, while complying with relevant rules and guidelines. You will also oversee the maintenance of the overall process model and landscape, coordinate the development of the Global process platform, and ensure proper governance.

Key Skills for Senior Project Manager:

• At least 10 years of strong project management experience, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in the software development lifecycle.
• ERP project experience, ideally with SAP and S4 HANA.
• Willingness to work in a multi-function PMO on various projects, including IT, SAP, site sales, and acquisitions.
• Openness to gaining experience across different disciplines.
• Strategic thinking and proven project leadership skills.
• Goal-oriented, solution-focused, with strong decision-making abilities.
• Strong process orientation and analytical skills across end-to-end processes.
• Ability to manage change processes, including cultural changes.
• Experience driving change initiatives.
• General commercial and business management knowledge.
• Confidence in engaging with project managers and senior stakeholders.
• Team player with a hands-on approach.
• Ability to manage multiple parallel workstreams.
• Strong conflict resolution, assertiveness, and resilience.
• Knowledge of process modelling tools, e.g., BPMN.
• Advanced knowledge of SAP FI/CO, SAP BW, and BI tools.

• Willingness to travel frequently within Europe and the UK.
