Job Purpose
As a Project Manager in the Standards IT team, you will play a pivotal role in delivering projects on the LGC Standards Digital Plan, which align with the strategic direction set by the LGC Standards Senior Leadership Team.
This role is a 6-month contract, during which you will work with senior stakeholders across all areas of the business and on Salesforce projects that deliver Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities, operational efficiencies and improvements to processes and data.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead projects through initiation, definition, execution, testing, and transition to BAU in line with the team’s project delivery guidelines.
- Support business case creation, define KPIs, and ensure processes are in place for KPI tracking and benefits realization post go-live.
- Create project plans, define tasks, develop work breakdown structures, and gain stakeholder approval.
- Manage risks, issues, and apply change control processes as appropriate.
- Generate status reports, maintain RAID logs, and communicate progress regularly to stakeholders.
- Estimate costs and resources, managing within agreed tolerances.
- Manage stakeholder relationships and third-party vendors, especially those delivering changes to Salesforce and Pardot platforms.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Experience, and Technical Skills
- Minimum of 5 years project management experience, including senior project management roles.
- Knowledge of project and change management methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall; project management certification is required.
- Proficiency in RAID management.
- Experience managing multi-disciplinary projects from inception to benefits realization.
- Proven track record delivering IT projects, including managing business process changes.
- Excellent communication skills, comfortable working with dispersed and diverse teams, and able to adapt communication to different stakeholders.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of common IT technologies and applications.
- Ability to learn quickly and enthusiasm for expanding knowledge, especially in the life sciences sector.
