QinetiQ Group plc in the UK is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead high value and complex projects within the IDT and Defence business. You will manage multi-stakeholder engagements, deliver outcomes on time and within budget, and contribute to growth across domestic and international opportunities.

You will work in a hybrid model (3 days onsite on average) at Boscombe Down or Bristol facilities, leading teams and ensuring safe, secure delivery while upholding QinetiQ values.

Qualifications

• More than 5 years' experience building teams and delivering projects.
• Experience delivering projects to up to 3 different customers.
• Demonstrate stakeholder management and engagement.
• Demonstrate leadership and accountability.
• Hold a recognised PM qualification (APM PPQ or Prince2).

You will be responsible for delivery of high value or complex Projects within the IDT and tasked with ensuring our commitments to our internal and external stakeholders are met. Our projects have a diverse and complex stakeholder community, both internal and external to the company. The UK Defence business within QinetiQ is involved in a wide variety of exciting projects and programmes, from innovative research, through to modifications or complex flight trials across all domains. As a member of our project management community, you can expect to be leading teams to deliver projects in the UK, as well as supporting international opportunities as we continue to grow. Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivery of high value (£5m per annum) or complex projects
• Development and maintenance of positive engagement with project customers, partners and suppliers
• Operating in a Safe & Secure manner
• Embedding a culture in line with the QinetiQ values
• Delivery of the project outputs, to agreed baseline (customer satisfaction, time, cost, quality, cash etc)
• Defining and agreeing an appropriate budget, delivering the Project within this budget and managing and reporting progress against an agreed cost plan

Desirable qualifications for the Senior Project Manager

• Hold a recognised PM qualification (APM Project Professional Qualification (PPQ) or Prince2)

This role is 37 hours per week and is based out of our Boscombe Down or Bristol facilities on a hybrid working pattern of 3 days per week on average, onsite.

Renowned for its extensive flight-testing capabilities the site plays a vital role in the UK's aviation defence contributing to the development, testing and airworthiness of military aircraft enhancing operational readiness and effectiveness.
