Job description

What are we looking to recruit?

We're seeking Senior Project Managers to join our Kier Strategic Projects Business in the West Midlands. This key role involves overseeing the day-to-day operational management of a newly secured Science and Research facility project.

Location: Warwick, West Midlands
Hours: Full Time Permanent

What will you be responsible for?

Reporting to the Project Director, as a Senior Project Manager you will take charge of the operational management of the scheme.

Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Managing design and construction activities to ensure safe, timely, within-budget, and high-quality delivery that meets stakeholder expectations.
  • Promoting a strong SHE culture, ensuring all work is planned and executed safely, in accordance with Kier policies, best practices, and legal regulations.
  • Implementing and managing the project quality strategy, ensuring compliance with specifications, risk mitigation, record keeping, and upholding high standards aligned with Kier's Quality Management policies.
  • Planning, managing, and monitoring subcontractor and supplier performance to ensure competence, compliance, and effective collaboration to meet project and contractual requirements.
  • Implementing and managing the project delivery strategy.
  • Working closely with the commercial team to understand project finances.

What are we looking for?

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Experience in construction project delivery as a Project Manager or Project Director.
  • Experience in Major Projects, Health, or Science sectors is advantageous. Experience with large public sector clients is also desirable.
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  • The ability to motivate and lead a team.
