Senior Project Manager

Senior Project Manager - Required to join a large leading and award-winning Civil Engineering and tunnelling company to run projects based in Kent and Sussex.

The Project Manager will work for an international business, established for over 40 years with a £114 Million turnover, delivering high-quality services in complex infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain a safe and healthy working environment.
• Motivate the workforce through proactive engagement.
• Ensure RAMS, briefings, TBTs are communicated to all staff.
• Produce procurement schedules and liaise with procurement to ensure adequate resources.
• Forecast and update the team on project costs and changes.
• Report risks and opportunities to senior management.
• Deliver work to specified quality standards without defects.
• Maintain commercial tension to drive out costs.
• Ensure project plans, RAMS, ITPs, and waste management plans are implemented per company procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least HNC qualified in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in Civil Engineering or Tunnelling Projects.
• Ability to independently run projects with minimal assistance.
• Experience with NEC3 Option A & C contracts and change management.
• Knowledge of standard forms of contract, measurement, and risk management.
• Proficient in Design Management Programmes.
• Experience with CVR, cost control, forecasting, and value assessment.
• Good communication and negotiation skills.
• SMSTS certification.
• Understanding of relevant health and safety regulations (e.g., H&S at Work Act 1974, LOLER, PUWER, Confined Space, Working at Height).
