Senior Project Manager

Purpose of the job

To lead, direct, coordinate, and implement key projects with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring delivery of customer requirements while meeting Nuvia’s performance and profit margins. The role involves meeting time, quality, and cost requirements, ensuring project safety, and maintaining compliance within highly regulated sectors.

Reports to

Project Sponsor and/or Business Area Director

Key Accountabilities

  • Take over delivery of existing projects mid-cycle to ensure successful completion.
  • Set up communication routes and launch new projects.
  • Prepare proposals and specifications under supervision.
  • Plan, monitor, and control project costs, resources, and schedules with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Support technical leads and supervise project teams to maintain quality and safety standards.
  • Assess and mitigate project risks.
  • Deliver projects according to the Project Management Plan (PMP).

Efficient & Effective Handover of Existing Projects

  • Hold review meetings to establish current status.
  • Understand project requirements, stakeholders, complexities, and risks for smooth transition.
  • Foster effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Project Launch and Communication

  • Conduct initial contract review and project start-up meetings.
  • Establish communication routes and maintain dialogue with clients and stakeholders.
  • Support project security and prepare strategic documents.

Planning and Procurement

  • Develop Project Management Plan, Procurement Strategy, and Safety Plan.
  • Set up WBS and accounting structures.
  • Manage subcontractor proposals, tenders, and costs.

Additional Requirements

  • Engineering or related qualification and project management certification.
  • Proven experience in engineering project delivery, leadership, stakeholder management, and client focus.
  • Ability to manage complex multidisciplinary projects and adapt to evolving client needs.
  • Full UK driver’s license.
