Our client, a global engineering company, is seeking a Senior Project Manager. This role is within the Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Power Station, Energy, Utilities, Construction, and highly regulated industries based in Warrington for a permanent position.

Role

The Senior Project Manager will oversee multiple projects with Project Managers reporting directly to you.

Responsibilities

You will act as a point of contact for the client’s senior management team and attend internal and external senior management meetings. You will perform senior management safety walks at project sites and work to improve KPI scores.

You will assist Project Managers to identify the overall project execution strategy, develop and own project execution plans, and be responsible for project budgets, timelines, and safety. You will resolve conflicts within the team and with third parties.

You will lead commercial change management, monitor, report, and forecast project progress, hold the project team accountable for their deliverables, and motivate and manage the team.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Extensive experience as a Senior Project Manager in multi-discipline projects within an EPCM/EPC company, UK utility, or oil & gas sector.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, including board level, and develop project schedules.
• Good knowledge of construction activities across disciplines and how they integrate into successful project delivery.
• Practical knowledge of engineering and construction phases, including detailed design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
• Experience working with standard forms of contract, particularly NEC4.

Preferred:

• BSc/BEng/MSc or equivalent in relevant engineering discipline
• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer
• Qualification from APM or equivalent
• Experience as a Senior Project Manager in highly regulated process industries
