Senior Project Manager - Electrical Transmission (South Wales First Project UK Frameworks)
Be part of something essential.

I'm looking to speak with experienced Senior Project Managers who are ready to lead from the front-delivering complex substation and M&E infrastructure projects across the UK. If you've got a proven background in the electricity transmission sector, especially with National Grid frameworks, and are looking to shape critical power infrastructure, this could be the right move.

About the Role:
You'll take full responsibility for the successful delivery of electrical transmission projects, with your first scheme based in South Wales. You'll manage programmes, budgets, teams, and risk-ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest standards. You'll also play a key role in preconstruction, supporting bids and shaping delivery strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee M&E project delivery from design through to handover
  • Lead cross-functional teams across engineering, commercial, and operational functions
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders including National Grid and supply chain partners
  • Ensure robust programme and risk management across all phases
  • Contribute to new contract wins and bid strategy
  • Drive compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards


What We're Looking For:

  • National Grid substation experience (including NG SRs, EPC/M&E frameworks)
  • Track record of delivering multi-disciplinary design and build projects
  • Strong NEC contract experience
  • Skilled in project delivery across the full lifecycle, from concept to completion
  • Qualifications in Engineering/Construction and Project Management (APM, PMP or similar)
  • Excellent stakeholder and supplier management
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards (HSWA, CDM, EAWR etc.)
  • Experience using project management software
