A leading construction management firm in the UK is seeking a Senior Project Manager for a Health Campus Redevelopment project in East London. This role involves oversight of both design and construction phases for new student accommodation, requiring experience with low & high rise buildings and effective coordination of multiple disciplines. The position offers flexibility with options for home working during the design phases. The ideal candidate will have a Chartered background and SMSTS certification.

Job Description

We have a current opportunity for a Senior Project Manager on a University Campus in East London. This project involves the Health Campus Redevelopment, expanding the campus for new Student Accommodation. The scope includes replacing current car parks and constructing new accommodation. The project duration is 4 years, with the first 2 years focused on Design and Planning, and from year 2 onwards on delivery and construction. The project aims to be fully commissioned by 2029.

The specific project is PBSA (Purpose Built Student Accommodation). Candidates should have experience with:

  1. Mixture of Low & High rise buildings (4-16 stories)
  2. Design and planning experience
  3. Coordination of all disciplines on large-scale projects
  4. Contractor and Client Management
  5. Delivery and Build of PBSA

The ideal candidate will have a technical or architectural background, preferably Chartered, and hold tickets such as SMSTS. The role offers flexibility, with site offices at the University and options for home working, especially during the initial design and planning phases. During delivery, increased site presence will be required.

This position is open to both permanent candidates and long-term freelancers. Salary and package or day rate will be discussed accordingly.

Start date: As soon as possible (notices will be considered). The interview process involves 2 stages. The project duration is 4 years.
