AtkinsRéalis are currently recruiting for a Senior Project Manager to support the continued growth of our Wales team.

We are looking for a collaborative, motivated individual to:

1. Provide effective delivery of project management services regionally across the advanced manufacturing, defence, healthcare, and education sectors.
2. Build successful working relationships with local and national accounts.
3. Support the Project Management team leader in the continued growth and development of the team, including growing your own sub-team.
4. Work with the team to continue to enhance the AtkinsRéalis Project Management Brand in the local marketplace and capitalise on the extensive pipeline of work.
5. Provide support to the regional management team in the growth of the sectors regionally.

Responsibilities:

1. Be a focal point and leadership figure for part of the well-established project management team.
2. Contribute to the strategic plans for the Welsh business and help maintain and develop business for the future.
3. Maintain service quality standards and a culture of continuous improvement and constructive expertise.
4. Take responsibility for some key projects and the account management and customer care for major clients.
5. Lead in new business proposals and tendering, liaising with the marketing team to ensure high-quality marketing and promotional materials.
6. Collaborate with other service streams, sectors, and the wider AtkinsRéalis business to provide integrated and innovative solutions that improve our competitive advantage.
7. Ensure the quality and timeliness of service delivery to clients, acting as the primary interface to build client confidence in the team.
8. Participate in relevant internal/external training initiatives.
9. Play an instrumental role in generating repeat business, winning new work, and developing new business opportunities.
10. Control workload and resources effectively.
11. Develop key industry contacts.
12. Stay informed of industry issues and best practice developments.
13. Manage and lead teams to foster motivation, engagement, and high performance, including conducting performance and development reviews (PDRs) and mentoring less experienced colleagues.
14. Provide guidance, leadership, and technical expertise to team members.
15. Communicate and interact competently with others, in accordance with the organisation's values.

Requirements:

1. Member/Fellow of RICS or similar qualification is essential.
2. Experience in pre- and post-contract commercial services.
3. Knowledge of the Welsh Construction Market.
4. Existing network of relevant contacts within the education or commercial sectors.
5. Proven experience in a senior role delivering high-value, challenging projects.
6. Detailed knowledge of competitors, with the ability to articulate and shape differentiators.
7. Strategic vision of the market and industry, with the ability to focus the business to leverage market conditions.
8. Proven track record of winning and developing new business opportunities.
9. Extensive experience in preparing bids, proposals, attending interviews, and securing work.
10. Proven team management skills and experience.
