Role Overview

As a Senior Project Manager at NFU Mutual, you’ll take ownership of large and complex projects—often exceeding £7 million in budget—delivering strategic change that drives business success. Your ability to build strong relationships with internal teams and stakeholders will be key to fostering a collaborative “one-team” approach. You’ll support business case development, manage resource allocation, and lead high-performing project teams to deliver results that matter.

You’ll also play a strategic role in governance and reporting, ensuring informed decision-making through data-led insights. From risk management to supplier engagement, your leadership will be instrumental in driving successful outcomes and continuous improvement.

About You

You’re a seasoned project leader with a proven track record of delivering complex, technology-enabled projects. You bring a blend of technical expertise and people-centred leadership, with the ability to energise teams and influence stakeholders. Your skills will include:

  • Expertise in project planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Skilled in risk assessment and mitigation.
  • Proficient in reporting tools and financial tracking.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Effective problem-solving and time management.
  • Demonstrated success in leading multiple complex projects within a portfolio context.
  • Deep understanding of project management methodologies and best practices.
  • Experience working with Change Management professionals to ensure successful deployment.
  • Ability to mentor and coach others, contributing to internal capability and maturity.
Qualifications
  • Apm Project Management Qualification (PMQ) or equivalent (Essential).
  • Agile PM Practitioner and Change Management certification (Desirable).
