Overview

Senior ProjectManager – IT / Business Transformation

Location: Madrid (3 days per month onsite)

Type: Contract, €500-600 per day

We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead key IT and business transformation projects across Europe. You’ll take ownership from planning through delivery, ensuring projects run smoothly, stay within scope, and meet business goals.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for managing complex end-to-end projects, coordinating with global teams (Germany, Amsterdam, and beyond), and ensuring delivery within agreed timelines and budgets. The work includes both business process and technical integrations – so while you don’t need to be a developer, an understanding of APIs and system integrations is definitely useful.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of large-scale IT and transformation projects
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets
• Manage risk, RAID logs, reporting, and stakeholder communications
• Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors
• Ensure PMO governance, reporting, and documentation standards are met
• Drive quality assurance, change management, and continuous improvement

What We’re Looking For

• Experience: Minimum 5 years in project management, ideally across IT or transformation environments
• Project Experience: Proven success in end-to-end implementations and coordinating user testing
• Technical Awareness: Familiarity with integrations, APIs, and software delivery processes (a plus)
• Tools & Methods: Confident using Azure Boards, MS Project, ServiceNow, or similar
• Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent desirable
• Languages: Strong English communication skills essential; Spanish an advantage (other European languages a plus)
• Financial / Vendor Management: Experience managing budgets and third-party delivery teams

Projects You’ll Lead

1. SAP ERP Add-on (approx. 70%)

A major insurance initiative aimed at developing an add-on for SAP ERP. You’ll coordinate development and pilot roll-out across multiple European markets.

2. ERP Integration (approx. 30%)

Overseeing integration between finance systems and Oracle ERP, including planning, testing, and cross-team coordination.
