Position Overview:

ARX is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager in our Sheffield & London office to oversee complex, multidisciplinary kinetic architecture projects for venues, including retractable roofs, retractable pitches, and dynamic seating solutions. You’ll ensure successful project delivery by managing scope, budget, timelines, and stakeholder relationships, and lead a high-calibre team of engineers in delivering world-class solutions.

Job requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• Minimum 8-10 years’ experience managing large-scale, multidisciplinary projects within stadiums, kinetic architecture, or complex construction fields.
• Proven track record of successful project delivery within budgets and deadlines, especially in stadium projects or dynamic architectural systems.
• Excellent stakeholder management and client-facing skills.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills with demonstrated ability to lead teams of engineers and specialists.
• Good communication and organisational abilities.
• Competency in project management software (MS Project, Primavera, or similar).

Preferred Experience:

• Previous experience managing kinetic architecture, retractable roofs, retractable pitches, or seating system projects highly preferred.

Job responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end project management of high-value, high-profile kinetic architecture projects across the UK and globally.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams of engineers and designers, ensuring clear communication, effective coordination, and timely delivery of project milestones.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and stakeholders, providing regular updates, addressing concerns, and ensuring client satisfaction.
• Proactively manage project risks, issues, and changes, providing effective solutions and mitigation strategies.
• Monitor and control project budgets and timelines, ensuring compliance with contract conditions and client expectations.
• Ensure all projects meet industry standards, quality expectations, and regulatory requirements.
• Regularly travel to project sites as required, particularly within the UK and Middle East, to oversee progress and foster strong stakeholder relationships.
