Job description

Expanded are currently recruiting for a Senior Project Manager to work in our Power Sector.

Location: Margam, Wales

Scope: Reinforced concrete structures

Role & Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the achievement of safety targets and zero tolerance of unsafe working practices and occurrences.
  • Support the delivery of the sub-project to the client within budget, Quality Assurance standards, on programme and to stringent safety parameters.
  • Work with the planning team to develop detailed and accurate short-term programmes of work.
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting of progress against the plan.
  • Ensure adoption of innovative ideas from within the business and from the workforce.
  • Support the programming of day-to-day resource requirements and communicate these to the construction team.
  • Interface with the construction manager and sections managers to share best practices and ensure effective resource utilization.
  • Monitor external changes to work plans and report the effect of change.
  • Lead section meetings to review safety, quality, progress, and design.
  • Ensure effective implementation of Laing O'Rourke project management systems and procedures.
  • Contribute to the contract review process.
  • Chair safety committee meetings on a monthly basis, take minutes, distribute, and carry out all actions.
Requirements:
  • Degree qualified in Civil Engineering (or recognisable qualification).
  • Between 10-15 years' experience.
  • Structures experience.
