We operate in a diverse global team engineering and manufacturing Flexible Pipe Systems to customers across the globe. Baker Hughes has in-depth experience in pipe design, manufacturing and installation with a wide portfolio of flexible risers and flowlines. This combination enables reliable and efficient subsea and offshore field development.

Create high quality outcomes

As the Senior Project Manager you will be responsible for working through the whole project life cycle from inception to installation. You will develop a detailed understanding of our Flexible Pipe Systems and manufacturing processes which will be critical in identifying and mitigating project risk to drive flawless execution. You will drive process, improvements and change across business functions to ensure timely and on-budget delivery of projects. You will work collaboratively with business and regional leadership, manufacturing and functional leaders as well as regional sales & commercial teams, to build in-depth stakeholder relationships and deliver high quality outcomes for our customers. You will be the key reference point with the customer for complex Flexible Pipe Projects.

As our Senior Project Manager you will be responsible for:

Leading customer kick-off meetings, project status meetings, site visits, customer project reviews and audits.

Translating customer needs and requirements into detailed project plans shared with company.

Engaging and driving safety values in line with HSE, Customer & Quality Leadership commitments.

Driving flawless execution to project deliverables across the business functions.

Building positive long-term relationships with regional customers to capture market share.

Promoting a risk management mind-set to identify and eliminate project risk.

Understanding customer contracts and executing within parameters while mitigating risk.

Interfacing with other Baker Hughes product and service lines to maximise opportunities for the company as a whole and to support the delivery of the project level financial plan.

Developing regular redesign of processes due to changing circumstances or management needs and elaboration of process improvement considering the broader functional context.


To be successful in this role you will:

Have significant experience working in a medium to large company in the oil and gas sector or similar industry i.e. a regulated engineering and manufacturing environment.

Have a proven track record in Project Management working on large scale, high value and long cycle projects.

Demonstrate expert ability in structured stage-gate project management principles (e.g. Prince, APM).

Have ability to understand the design and engineering phases for a range of technically complex products.

Have credible stakeholder management and relationship building skills that inspire trust and confidence.

Have effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and influence cross functional teams in a matrix style organisation.

Be able to demonstrate good client facing skills with a proven track record of achieving project goals and customer satisfaction.

Have a continuous improvement mind-set, knowing how to prioritise and influence change.

Be able to work in a culturally diverse environment.
