Fully on site - 5 days a weekAbout the OpportunityWe’re seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead a talented design, product development, and quality team. Required technical understanding of injection moulding, electronics, and manufacturing.
This role requires an exceptional communicator and a hands-on project manager. Someone who is not only willing, but eager to roll up their sleeves, support engineers with technical challenges, and actively engage on the manufacturing floor to resolve day-to-day issues as they arise.
What You’ll Be Doing- Lead and inspire a multidisciplinary technical team covering design, development, and quality functions.
- Review and support the design of products made from injection moulded and fabricated plastics, guiding the team from concept to production.
- Prioritise and schedule project work based on input from sales and customer requirements, ensuring projects are delivered on time and to specification.
- Drive progress on multiple engineering projects simultaneously, balancing adaptability with structured delivery.
- Collaborate with suppliers and customers, shaping solutions that align with both business capabilities and market demands.
- Own the engineering change process and maintain accurate product technical data, bills of materials, and compliance documentation.
- Champion ISO9001 practices and drive product quality and regulatory adherence across the business.
- Hold regular 1-2-1s with your team, mentoring and supporting their professional growth.
Qualifications- Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Design, or related technical discipline (BEng, BSc, HND, HNC, etc.)
Essential Skills & Experience- Proven track record of managing engineering or technical teams in a manufacturing environment
- Hands-on experience with injection moulding, plastic fabrication, and product development
- Solid understanding of engineering thermoplastics and DFM principles
- Familiarity with ISO9001 and quality assurance standards
- Confident with 3D CAD systems
- Demonstrable ability to manage cross-functional projects and drive results to tight deadlines
- Skilled at presenting technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong organisational, leadership, and decision-making capabilities
- Practical experience with BOMs and MRP systems
- A hands-on problem solver with a passion for making things happen
- Organised, detail-oriented, and laser-focused on outcomes
- Strong communicator who leads by example
- Driven by innovation and the excitement of seeing a design become a physical product
- Experience in a metal or sheet fabrication environment, electronic design principles, familiarity with production planning and tooling processes
