Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU) is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join its Campus Development Team. The role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the university's strategic agenda and help to shape the future of our vibrant and growing campus.

About the Role

As a Senior Project Manager, you will deliver small to medium sized projects across our diverse estate, taking full ownership of projects from initiation to handover, following best practice processes to safely deliver projects on-time, to-budget and to the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for co-ordinating multidisciplinary teams, managing risk and keeping stakeholders informed at every stage, ensuring projects align with the University's strategic goals and sustainability targets. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to an ambitious estates investment plan alongside the ongoing delivery of our planned maintenance programme.

Key Responsibilities

You will manage the planning and execution of complex, multi-stakeholder projects.

Monitor progress, manage budgets, and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle.

Appoint and manage multidisciplinary design and delivery teams.

Work closely with academic departments, professional services, and external consultants and contractors.

Ensure compliance with health and safety, sustainability, planning and regulatory requirements.

About You

• A proven track record of managing construction projects in higher education or a similar complex environment.
• Strong leadership , communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• In depth knowledge of construction project management best practices and relevant legislation.
• Relevant professional qualification or working towards chartership.
