We are interested in speaking with candidates up to Senior level about a position in our Manchester-based team.

Role Purpose:

We have an exciting opportunity for Project Management professionals, up to Senior level, to join our Manchester Project Management team.

The successful candidate will have experience in delivering projects to various client groups, managing key client accounts, and contributing significantly to multi-disciplinary teams, as well as supporting the management and direction of the Project Management group. This is a fast-paced team with an impressive client list and increasing workload, offering substantial room for development both horizontally and vertically.

You will report to a director and be capable of running projects from day one. You must demonstrate experience with new build commercial and occupier projects and the ability to build strong relationships with investor and corporate clients. Opportunities to work on pitches and cross-sell other areas of the business will also be available.

The ideal candidate will have a technical background (preferably QS/PM) with post-qualification experience. Both MRICS and APM qualifications will be considered, especially with exposure to commercial new build projects.

As part of a modern team, you will be provided with the latest IT equipment, remote working capabilities, and ongoing innovation in products and software to enhance service and productivity.

What this job involves:

  • Lead daily project delivery for funds, developers, occupiers, and support Directors on larger projects.
  • Select, appoint, and manage design teams for development, planning, and statutory approvals.
  • Administer complex building contracts, ensuring contractor compliance.
  • Assist with tender document preparation, review tender returns, negotiate contracts, and prepare client reports.
  • Develop project documentation, fee schedules, programs, risk assessments, and budgets.
  • Produce client reports at all project stages.
  • Manage client relationships throughout the project cycle.
  • Interpret contracts, manage change, resolve disputes, and implement project controls.
  • Engage in business development internally and externally.

Candidate requirements:

  • Ideally MRICS or similar Project Management qualification.
  • Strong background in managing projects for new build commercial buildings and refurbishments, particularly offices.
  • Experience leading projects for various clients, managing schemes from £2m to over £50m.
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality project management services from start to finish.
  • Experience in managing and developing client relationships.
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, self-motivated.
  • Excellent communication, numerical, and report-writing skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Flexible, able to work under pressure.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Project, and Outlook.
  • Well presented with excellent communication skills.
  • Willing to join a supportive project management team.
  • Ability to identify new opportunities and secure profitable work with property consultancy colleagues.
