Our consultancy client is seeking Senior Project Managers to work in hybrid/remote arrangements in secondments to Water/Utilities/Environment end clients on a permanent basis.
As a Senior Project Manager in the water sector, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and successfully delivering a range of projects from inception to completion, supporting predominantly a range of end clients.
Our client has offices in Reigate but due to the secondment model they use, candidates can be based anywhere in the UK.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of water projects, including planning, execution, and delivery
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to define project goals, objectives, and scope
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets
- Identify and mitigate project risks
- Ensure effective communication and coordination with project teams
- Oversee the allocation of resources to optimize project outcomes
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards
Skills/experience/qualifications- Significant experience in project management, specifically within the water sector - ideally 5 to 10 years in project management roles
- NEC3/4 experience
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Project management certifications an advantage (APM PMQ etc)
- Degree qualified in an engineering/technical discipline an advantage
