Job Purpose
The University of Glasgow has embarked upon an exciting strategic transformation programme covering significant changes to the University's ERP and Research Management systems. As a key member of the project leadership team, you will be responsible for managing a complex, large-scale project with multiple external partners and stakeholders. This includes working closely with project leads to define, implement, and monitor the overall governance and management structure, including contractual frameworks and project tracking infrastructure to ensure compliance with funder and university regulations.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Design and implement all project tracking infrastructure (status report formats, meeting structures, risk registers, etc.) to ensure all workstreams are progressing as planned and issues are addressed promptly.
- Design and implement the governance and management structure of the project, including funding models, contractual agreements, and Memoranda of Understanding.
- Provide leadership and direction to project teams, ensuring alignment with internal and external deadlines and schedules.
- Develop and manage a comprehensive information repository for all activities, facilitating easy access to key project data.
- Maintain an accurate spend profile meeting funder requirements, ensuring partner spend plans and commitments are within budget, and managing spend risks.
- Oversee contracts with external consultants and advisors to ensure timely delivery of services.
- Manage the risk management framework and ensure its consistent application across all project activities.
- Build and maintain networks beneficial to the project's strategic objectives.
- Maintain strategic oversight to identify areas requiring strategic or operational coherence.

Knowledge/Qualifications
- Essential: A1: Demonstrated strategic competencies and professional leadership experience or Scottish Credit and Qualification Framework level 9, 10, 11 (Degree, Post Graduate Qualification, Masters Degree, or equivalent).
A2: Knowledge and experience of contractual, financial, HR, and governance issues in complex collaborations.
A3: Experiential knowledge of industry quality standards in project management.
A4: Extensive knowledge of project management methodologies.

Terms and Conditions
