A Senior Project Manager will oversee a portfolio of SP Transmission Projects from initiation through development and manage the handover to the delivery team. The role involves leadership and coordination across internal and external stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory and license obligations, including guiding large multi-disciplinary teams.
You will manage a portfolio of capital projects, ensuring they are developed safely, environmentally responsibly, meet customer expectations, and adhere to quality, budget, and timescale standards.
Projects mainly involve new build reinforcements with investments averaging over £10m, typically taking 4-7 years to complete.
Your responsibilities include:
Qualifications or equivalent experience in project management, including planning, risk management, team leadership, investment processes, and financial forecasting.
Significant experience managing infrastructure or transmission projects and leading multi-disciplinary teams.
Experience planning complex, long-term technical projects and solving complex problems within large expenditure projects.
Strong decision-making, stakeholder consultation, negotiation, and communication skills.
Excellent organization and time management skills, with knowledge of procurement, health, safety, environmental legislation, and project planning tools.
Awareness of regulatory impacts on business revenues.
