Job Description
We are recruiting for a Senior Project Manager.
Mller has been a beloved brand in the UK for over 30 years. As a household name, it continues to grow through investments in producing and marketing an expanding range of dairy products. Currently, it is the 8th most chosen FMCG brand, selected from supermarket shelves over 208 million times annually.
We seek an experienced individual to join our team as a Senior Project Manager. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to lead group projects, plan resources, and ensure projects are delivered successfully within strict deadlines and budgets, following Mueller policies, especially GO, rules, and guidelines. Responsibilities also include maintaining the overall process model and process landscape, coordinating global process platform development, and overseeing governance.
The role can be based at either Droitwich or East Kilbride with a hybrid working model requiring three days on-site.
Your responsibilities as a Senior Project Manager include:
Project Management (Group Projects):
- Facilitate project scope, requirements, and deliverables definition, and establish project tasks and resource requirements using Mueller standard documentation.
- Manage project budgets aligned with business expectations.
- Develop and communicate project plans, timelines, milestones, and track deliverables.
- Manage risks, issues, and changes throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure support for steady-state deliverables is transitioned to relevant teams.
- Follow UTM legal and procurement processes.
- Meet project audit responsibilities.
- Close projects with documented lessons learned.
- Adhere to policies, frameworks, standards, and guidelines.
- Ensure GPOs are involved and aligned with group projects.
Resource Management (Group Projects):
- Acquire and coordinate internal and external resources.
- Assemble and coordinate project teams from Business, IT, and external partners.
- Negotiate resource allocations with resource owners.
- Collaborate with procurement for third-party contracts.
- Plan project team training.
Stakeholder Management (Group Projects):
- Identify and liaise with key stakeholders for governance.
- Engage Project Sponsor (GPO) participation.
- Create Project Boards and Steering Groups as needed.
- Monitor and report progress regularly.
Global Process Coordination:
- Maintain process models and landscapes.
- Oversee development of the Global Process platform and governance.
- Coordinate interdisciplinary initiatives and resources.
- Lead GPO Boards and escalation processes.
- Monitor process performance metrics.
- Promote business process expertise and training.
- Support change management strategies.
- Facilitate process and procedural changes.
- Drive project management excellence and communication.
Project Management Governance:
- Develop and implement project management methodologies and tools.
- Establish multi-project and portfolio management processes.
- Build group-wide resource planning.
- Oversee project status and performance reporting.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Over 5 years of work experience, including 2-3 years in strategy consulting.
- Strong project management and leadership skills.
- Goal-oriented with solution focus and economic thinking.
- Process-oriented with analytical skills across end-to-end processes.
- Proven ability to manage change and cultural shifts.
- Commercial and business management knowledge.
- Confident in engaging with senior stakeholders.
- Team player with a hands-on approach.
- Capable of managing multiple workstreams.
- Conflict resolution, assertiveness, and resilience.
- Excellent German and English communication skills.
- Knowledge of process modeling (e.g., BPMN).
- Advanced SAP FI/CO, SAP BW, and BI tools skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Willingness to travel frequently within Europe and the UK.
