A respected multidisciplinary consultancy based in Chelmsford is looking to appoint a Senior Project Manager to join their established team. With a strong pipeline of residential, regeneration and mixed-use projects across the South East, this is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Project Manager to play a key role in delivering high-quality developments from inception to completion.
The Senior Project Manager will take responsibility for managing multiple schemes, acting as the principal point of contact for clients, consultants, and contractors. This role is well-suited to a proactive and commercially aware Senior Project Manager with experience in Design and Build procurement, excellent leadership skills, and a strong track record in delivering projects to time and budget.
As Senior Project Manager, your duties will include:
Leading the day-to-day delivery of residential and mixed-use schemes
Managing pre- and post-contract activities including design coordination, risk management, and cost control
Preparing tender documents and overseeing procurement processes
Monitoring on-site delivery, managing contract administration, and reporting progress to clients
Supporting junior team members and contributing to internal mentoring and development
Attending networking events and supporting bid preparation as needed
The ideal Senior Project Manager will have:
A degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a RICS/CIOB-accredited equivalent
MRICS, MAPM or MCIOB status, or working towards it
Extensive experience with Design and Build contracts
Background in residential or public sector projects, ideally with Housing Associations or Local Authorities
Excellent communication and client-facing skills
A current CSCS card
Salary of £44,000 – £65,000
Car allowance
9% employer-contributed pension
25 days holiday plus bank holidays (increasing with service)
