About the Role

A leading infrastructure contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee the transformation of one of Essex’s busiest road junctions. This high-profile scheme includes the redesign of a major interchange, construction of a new pedestrian bridge, and road widening works, representing a significant upgrade to regional transport infrastructure.

What You’ll Be Doing:

As Senior Project Manager, you’ll take full accountability for delivering the project safely, on time, and within budget — leading a multidisciplinary team and working closely with designers, supply chain partners, and client stakeholders. Your responsibilities include:

• Leading all site operations and construction phases across this complex multi-million-pound project
• Building and developing a high-performing delivery team, assigning responsibilities, and supporting growth
• Managing design coordination and providing direction to the design manager
• Overseeing procurement of materials, plant, and subcontractors aligned to programme milestones
• Ensuring compliance with HS&E legislation and site safety plans
• Conducting inspections and reviews, investigating incidents, and reporting findings
• Championing digital construction and understanding the value of BIM in major infrastructure delivery
• Identifying and mitigating project risks including disputes, defects, and legal liabilities

• A formal qualification in civil engineering or a related discipline
