Location: Aspect House, Blantyre (office and site based - with hybrid working)

£61,600 - £77,000 + bonus (up to 15%) and single cover healthcare

What you’ll be doing

As aSenior Project Manager (Delivery), you’ll be the driving force behind the development and delivery of large-scale strategic Transmission projects, managing a portfolio valued between £100m–£200m. From concept through to completion, you’ll lead the planning, coordination, and execution of complex, multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects across the SP Transmission licence area.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Managing projects through their full lifecycle, from development to final closeout.
  • Leading cross-functional teams and coordinating internal and external stakeholders.
  • Delivering outputs, incentive metrics, and milestones in line with business targets.
  • Managing project risks, contracts, and financial governance.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory, environmental, and safety standards.
  • Developing accurate capital expenditure forecasts and supporting the MSIP/LOTI process.
  • Driving innovation, value engineering, and continuous improvement.
  • Promoting stakeholder engagement and community liaison in line with SPEN’s Landowners Agreement and Code of Conduct.
  • Supporting the development of Project Managers and facilitating effective handover to Network Operations.

What you’ll bring

We’re looking for someone with a strong background in project management and a passion for delivering high-value infrastructure projects. You’ll need:

  • A degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
  • Significant experience as managing and delivering large-scale construction or civil engineering projects, ideally within the UK energy transmission sector.
  • Expertise in planning, risk and opportunity management, procurement, change and contract management, investment approval, and financial forecasting.
  • Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and manage complex, long-term projects.
  • Strong working knowledge of health, safety, and environmental legislation.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office and project planning tools.
  • A full driving licence and willingness to travel across SPEN locations.
