The programme management team works across the business to deliver product design, software release, and process improvement projects in the UK and Poland. The team are responsible for ensuring that scope, cost, and schedule are delivered to target and projects are managed in accordance with Huber+Suhner processes.

Role description

We are seeking a highly skilled and accountable Senior Project Manager to lead multiple cross-functional projects in a fast-paced and complex product development environment. This role requires a strategic thinker and is ideal for someone who thrives on navigating ambiguity, aligning diverse teams and delivering high-impact results. You will be instrumental in driving product development from concept to launch, ensuring alignment across engineering, production, and business teams.

Responsibilities

As our Senior Project Manager you will be specifically responsible for:

  • Project Leadership: Own end-to-end delivery of multiple concurrent product development and technology projects, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget are met.
  • Stakeholder Management: Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including engineering teams, suppliers, and executive leadership.
  • Planning & Execution: Develop detailed project plans, resource allocations, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies.
  • Prioritisation & Decision Making: Navigate conflicting priorities across projects, making informed decisions to maintain momentum and quality.
  • Reporting & Communication: Deliver clear, concise updates on project status, risks, and dependencies to leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Process Development: Introduce and refine project management processes to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Continuous Improvement: Champion a culture of learning and improvement, identifying opportunities to enhance team performance and delivery outcomes.
Qualifications

In order to be successful in this role you must have:

  • Proven experience managing complex hardware and technology development projects
  • Strong understanding of product development lifecycle, especially in hardware or embedded systems.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to influence and align diverse and dispersed teams.
  • Demonstrated accountability and ownership of project outcomes.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project, MS Planner, or equivalent).
  • Passion for driving operational excellence and fostering a culture of learning and adaptation.
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, cost control, and business case development.
  • Proven experience of operating in high-growth, ambiguous environments where priorities shift rapidly.
  • Ability to translate technical delivery into business value.
