Kinneir Dufort (KD) is a world-class user-centred innovation and product development consultancy, specializing in the medical and consumer health sectors. As part of the SteriPack Group, we collaborate globally with contract manufacturing facilities in Europe, the USA, and Asia, alongside additional design and product development teams in New Jersey and Colorado.

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior/Project Manager to join our talented team and contribute to delivering exceptional solutions for our clients.

About the Role

We’re not looking for someone who can simply follow a project management process (although that’s important!). We want someone who has experience in product development, working in a consultancy experience, or someone who is comfortable working concurrently on a variety of projects with different timescales. Our project managers keep things running smoothly; working alongside their project teams to keep our clients informed and happy. You will play an important part in guiding and supporting them, as well as in leading on your own projects.

The role will be focused on managing the delivery of multidisciplinary product development projects, working on everything from gathering user insights & concept generation through to detailed design, formal verification and manufacture.

About You

We are in search of an exceptional project manager who has a passion for both designing a better world and achieving project success. Our Project Managers are an integral part of a friendly and effective team, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams assembled for specific contracts. So, you’ll need to be a natural collaborator, with a disciplined approach, who’s able to focus on prioritisation and consistently delivering outstanding work.

You’ll have a clear understanding of the commercial aspects of delivering a project, understanding the impact for our clients and for KD. You may also have experience of coaching/mentoring and line managing others, but it isn’t essential. This role will rely on the successful candidate sharing their own knowledge and experience, as well as them being open to learn from the talented project managers already in the team. You’ll have the confidence to lead, but with the down-to-earth approach that inspires trust and excitement in our team and in our clients.

Joining our team as a Senior/Project Manager, you'll contribute your wealth of experience to our projects. Your background may span across medical device development, design consultancy experience or device development projects in a regulated industry. If you bring one or more of these, then we want to speak to you! You will work with our clients to ensure that their needs are defined and that they understand where their project is at every step of the way.

Your Skills and Experience

Whilst you do not need to meet all of these points, please ensure you meet the majority of them before making an application:

1. Consultancy experience, managing multi-disciplinary projects.
2. Either experience managing medical device development projects; Or product development in regulated markets. (At least one of these is a must!)
3. A calm, level-headed approach to managing multiple concurrent projects and deadlines.
4. A people person with experience implementing various project management approaches; including mentoring and directing other team members.
5. Experience in working to specific standards e.g. ISO9001 & ISO13485.
6. Strong client relationships; results-based ethos; continuous professional development.
7. Strong commercial understanding from a company and client perspective.

Please note our salary band for the Consultant level is £40,800 to £50,000. For Senior candidates we are considering a salary of up to £65,000.
