Job summary

Gleeds is seeking a Senior Project Manager to support Defence manufacturing and R&D programmes. The role focuses on delivering objectives with clients in Worcestershire/Herefordshire, handling contracts, and driving growth while protecting PI insurance. A strong background in defence or manufacturing is preferred.

You will engage with customers, manage programmes, and collaborate with senior leadership to ensure high-quality service delivery and compliant contracts across projects.

Qualifications

  • Sound project management and/or programme management experience post qualification.
  • Sound knowledge and practiced experience of project management techniques.
  • Ability to administer construction contracts as Contract Administrator, Employer’s Agent and/or Project Manager.
  • Clear understanding of legislation impacting on building contracts.
  • Excellent communication skills - both oral and written.
  • Methodical way of thinking and approach to work.
  • Ability to absorb complex information and assess requirements readily. Excellent problem solving, negotiating, financial and numeracy skills.
  • Sound ICT skills, with a high proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work as part of a team

About this opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to support delivery of key Defence manufacturing / Research and development programmes. The ideal candidate will be located in Worcestershire or Herefordshire due to client locations and site presence requirements.


The ideal candidate will have Defence or Manufacturing sector experience.



Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


  • Supporting Business Unit Directors in delivering business objectives

  • MRICS (Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) or

  • MCIOB (Member of the Chartered Institute of Builders) is desirable
